Game 3 (July 12)
West Plains defeated Lake Spokane 27-17. West Plains just couldn't pull things together
on the mound, defensive errors allowed extra unearned runs.
Couldn't have asked for a better group of young ladies, they worked
hard, did what they were asked, and in the end became a team parents,
coaches, and West Plains Little League could be very proud to call
their own!!!
Game 2 (July 11)
West Plains defeated North Spokane 16-15. The winning run scored in the bottom of the 6th. When West Plains stole second and
ran home on the throw down.
Game 1 (July 9)
West Plains lost to Lake Spokane 11-9. Came back from 9 runs down.

He Is Just a Little Boy
He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stand all alone.
A hit at this moment would send the team home.
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, "Strike out the bum"
Tears fill his eyes, the game's no longer fun.
So open your heart and give him a break,
For it's moments like this, a man you can make.
Please keep this in mind, when you hear someone forget,
he is just a little boy, and not a man yet.
