Highlights for the 2007 9-10 All-Star TeamGame 3 (July 4)The West Plains Little League 9-10 year-old All-Star team was was eliminated from the District 13 District Tournament with a 12-4 loss to South Spokane West. West Plains was able to jump out to a 4-2 lead behind Logan Pratt who pitched four innings and only gave up 2 runs and had 7 K's. In the fifth and sixth innings, South Spokane West scored 10 runs to coast to the easy victory. The offense was led by Conner Pratt who was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Samson Brown added one hit and scored a run, while Dylan Rushfeldt got a hit and an RBI. West Plains 9-10 All-Stars finished the tournament with a 1-2 record. Game 2 (July 3)West Plains Little League 9-10 All-Star team defeated Riverside 14-0 in a looser out game in Medical Lake on Tuesday. Connor Pratt picked up the win for the WPLL All-Stars with 3 shutout inning striking out six and Chance Gleave completed the game, which was shortened by the 10-run rule, with a shutout 4th inning striking out two of the batters he faced. The WPLL featured Jacob Whiteley going 2-3 with a triple, 2 RBI's and 1 run scored, Samson Brown going 1-3 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored Also for WPLL, Dylan Rushfedlt got one hit, scored once and got 1 RBI, Jacob Perdue was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's, and Tristan Chapman was 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Cory Wagner pitched in with two runs scored, Streeter Manley 1-2 with a triple, scored twice and had 3 RBI's, and Bryce Seals was 1-2 with a triple, scored once and had 1 RBI. WPLL advances to play tomorrow (July 4th) at 2 pm against the looser of the Spokane North v. Spokane South West game. Game 1 (July 2)The 9-10 All-Star tournament got off to a rough start for the West Plains team who suffered a 5-2 loss to Lake Spokane. Tenzin James struck out 10 batters in 4 innings and only gave up one run. WPLL's only hits came from Jacob Whiteley, Chance Gleave, Tristan Chapman and Jacob Perdue. Perdue's double produced both RBI's for the WPLL team scoring Samson Brown and Chance Gleave scored our runs. West Plains Little League now falls to the looser's bracket and will play their next game on July 3rd at 3:00 against Riverside. |
